SelfdriveShop.com offers a simple yet reliable service to making online bookings for campervan rental or motorhome hire in Australia. Just follow the steps outlined below.
1) Rental Details
Enter your rental details into the Quote Calculator and click on the "Search" button.
2) Vehicle Options
the Quote Calculator will generate a list of vehicles on offer at the selected locations.
Click on the following links for further information:
- Company link (e.g. Apollo) - outlines the company's Terms & Conditions.
- Vehicle image - vehicle specifications and day/night layouts.
- Vehicle availability link (e.g. available) - provides information on the vehicle's availability status.
- Price options (standard or inclusive) - outlines the price inclusions and exclusions. Once you have chosen your preferred price, click on the relevant circle next to price (a dot will appear in the circle).
- Book link - proceeds with the booking process.
3) Confirm Vehicle
Provides a summary of your reservation, including:
- Rental company
- Vehicle type
- Rental details (pick-up and drop-off dates and locations)
- Terms and Conditions of the rental
4) Book and Pay
Enter your contact details and credit card information via the online secure form to make a booking.
- If your pick-up date is within 28 days, you are required to pay the full daily rental amount (standard, flex standard, inclusive or flex inclusive).
- If your pick-up date is outside 28 days, you are required to pay a deposit of $250.00. The balance of the rental is then due 28 days prior to pick-up. We will contact you by email when the balance is due.
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Please note a 1.5% surcharge applies for any Visa or MasterCard payments and a 4% surcharge applies for any American Express payments to SelfdriveShop.com (Salamanda Travel).
Please note that we process all payments in Australian dollars. This means any NZD amount will be converted into AUD on the day of transaction (using www.ozforex.com.au). International credit cards may also be charged a foreign exchange fee from the credit card provider. We do not accept any responsibility for these fees.
5) Confirmation
Subject to the "Vehicle Availability" status:
- If the vehicle is available (as indicated under Vehicle Options), you will receive on online confirmation of your booking (subject to successful credit card processing).
- If vehicle availability is limited, we will check availability with the rental company and contact you via email.
There is no need to re-confirm your reservation with the actual rental company.
